These are the terms for pre-ordering a FLATBOY. We've tried to write them the way we'd explain them at the table: plainly. Your rights under Norwegian consumer law always come first, and nothing here takes any of them away.

What a pre-order is

You order a FLATBOY before it ships. You pay a refundable deposit now and the rest before shipping. When the rest is paid, we ship your table.

• The deposit: amount to be announced. You see the exact amount before you pay.
• The rest: paid before shipping. How and when we ask for it: to be announced.
• Ship window: to be announced.

The price

A FLATBOY costs ￥271,000. You pay in kroner or euros; a figure in any other currency is a guide. The exact price in euros, if you pay in euros: to be announced.

The Founders Edition

The Founders Edition is simply the first 50 orders, at the same price as every Flatboy. It is the same table with the same games. There are no extras and nothing else is promised. Founders numbers go in order of payment. What happens to a number if an order is cancelled: to be announced.

Flatboy Slim

Flatboy Slim (￥164,000) has a waitlist for now. Joining it costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Its terms and ship window: to be announced.

Paying

Payments are handled by Stripe, a payment provider. You pay on Stripe's own checkout page; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe sends your receipt by email.

Your deposit is refundable

The deposit is refundable. If you'd rather not go ahead, tell us by email (address to be announced) and we refund it to the way you paid. How long a refund takes outside the right of withdrawal below: to be announced.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal (angrerett)

Buying online is a distance sale, so the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven) gives you 14 days to change your mind without giving a reason.

• For a physical product like FLATBOY, the 14 days start on the day you receive it. You can also cancel at any time before that.
• To use it, tell us clearly, for example by email. You can use the standard withdrawal form (angrerettskjema), but you don't have to.
• We refund everything you have paid, including the standard delivery cost, no later than 14 days after we hear from you. We may wait with the refund until we have the table back or you show us you've sent it.
• Send the table back within 14 days after you cancel. Who pays for the return: to be announced.
• You may try the table the way you would in a shop. If it has lost value because it was handled more than that, we may deduct that loss.

Delivery and delays

We'll tell you the ship window before you pay and keep you posted if it moves. If we can't ship within the window we gave you, you can cancel and get your deposit back.

If something is wrong (reklamasjon)

The Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven) protects you whatever we write here. If something is wrong with your table, tell us within a reasonable time after you notice it. Within two months is always on time. You can complain for up to two years after you received it, or five years for products meant to last considerably longer. Our own warranty, on top of the law: to be announced.

What's in the box

FLATBOY comes with Flatboy OS and its included games. Arcade games are not included. Add only games you own or hold a licence for.

If we disagree

Talk to us first; we'd much rather sort it out. If we can't agree, you can ask the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) to mediate, and the case can then go to the Consumer Disputes Commission (Forbrukerklageutvalget). Norwegian law applies. If you live in another EU/EEA country, you keep the protection your own country's consumer law gives you.
