An aircraft carrier at golden hour, the sea on fire with the sunset and two of our own pilots painted on the deck under the flippers. FLATACE is a pinball table of our own, seen straight down and filling the screen. Its catapult holds the ball while the deck lights count down, then fires it the whole height of the table and off the bow.
The ball drops into the catapult, the deck lights count down, and it shoots up the steel track and off the bow into the top of the table. Everyone watching ducks a little. Then it comes back down, and it's your problem again.

Pick your mission at the catapult while it holds the ball: a dogfight, a deck landing, a runway race, three loops of the big climbing ramp, a low pass by the tower, a rescue at sea. Win three for the Sunset Patrol, two balls at once.
The wingman, a small flipper high on the left, shoots for the hangar door. Lock jets in the hangar for Squadron Multiball. Win all six missions and you fly for the golden wings: four balls at once.
Three balls for the high score, and a mission waiting at every launch.
A second player joins from the other end during the first ball. You take turns, and the table turns to whoever is up.
