Seeking investment

Help us take the table to more living rooms.

FLATBOY is built and people want it. Now we need partners who know how consumer electronics gets from a workshop to thousands of homes.

Where we are

A finished table, and people raising their hands.

A real table

Finished, working and played on every day in our living room.

24 games in the box

Football, rally, fighting, pirates, pinball, board games for the whole family, and more on the way.

140 in one day

One photo of two kids at the table on Facebook. The next day, 140 people had pressed “I want one”.

Made in Norway

By a father and daughter: one builds, one designs games.

Real photos

The real table. Photos, not renders.

What it's for

From one workshop to real production.

Certified for Europe

The tests and paperwork that let us sell in Norway and the rest of Europe.

Made in batches

From one workshop to a contract manufacturer, so tables are built many at a time, not one by one.

Slim in the shops

Moulds for Flatboy Slim, so the smaller table can be made at scale and sold in shops.

Further out

Stock for the first batches, then the US and Asia.

Who we're looking for

Investors who have done B2C electronics.

Money matters, but experience matters as much. We'd like to hear from you if you have built, certified or sold a product people buy for their home.

Hands-on is welcome: a seat at the table, a phone call when it gets hard.

  • Making consumer electronics: sourcing, factories, quality
  • Certification: CE, and the US after that
  • Retail and distribution: shops, online, logistics
  • Taking a Nordic product abroad

Who you'd be backing

A father and daughter who make things.

Bjørn Ivar Knudsen

Founder · the dad

I've spent more than 25 years making products and building companies, most of them a physical thing with its own software, from the first drawing to the day it's in someone's hands. For FLATBOY I designed, built and programmed everything together with Jeanne: the furniture, every printed part, the electronics, the lobby and the games.

  • Sound Business: co-built Europe's largest in-store radio system, hardware, software, production and installation.
  • QuickLog: founded Norway's largest driving log app, more than 30,000 users, later sold.
  • ABAX: on board early, and still a shareholder.
  • SmplCo: partner in a product studio behind more than 125 products.
  • Sloydr: my own software for the CNC machine that mills FLATBOY's wood.

Our story

Let's talk

Sit down at the table with us.

Write a few lines about yourself and what you've built. We'll send the investor deck and the numbers, and find a time to meet, ideally at the table.
