FLATBOY for pubs
90 × 42 cm of walnut, only 5.7 cm thin, with a 27-inch screen between two players: it sits on any table in your pub. One scan with Vipps and they're playing, while half the pub shouts at the big screen. You don't lift a finger, and the table pays its way.
How a session goes
The table plays itself until someone walks up. The Vipps code sits in the middle of the screen: one scan, kr 20, and both ends are in. The other one just sits down.
Pick a game and it starts at once: no menus, no settings. Your team carries your name. The clock runs eight minutes across as many games as you like, and the last goal always counts.
The winner gets the card, tonight's place and a code to keep it. The loser gets "another 8 minutes?" in big letters. Most of them say yes.
The big screen
Your TV shows the table's screen standing, top to bottom, with the score, the names, the clock and tonight's results beside it in big type. Between matches it runs the night's board and a code: challenge the winner. It works on the TV you already have.
For the pub
A rematch takes eight minutes and a scan. People who play stay for the next one, and the next drink with it.
Guests pay with Vipps on their own phone. No coins to empty, no cash to count, nothing for the staff to do.
Tonight's best, the week's best, the pub champion. Names on your TV and on flatboy.no bring them back on Thursday.
Start a tournament from your phone: sign-up on the guests' phones, the bracket on your TV, a pub champion by closing time.
Your best five against the pub down the street. A city league with a season and a final night.
Games and updates arrive by themselves. Prices, opening hours and volume are a few switches on your phone.
The money
The way pool tables and jukeboxes have always worked in pubs: we place the table and look after it, and you share what it takes. Or keep every krone, with a fixed fee or by owning it.

100 %
A fixed monthly fee, and every krone the table takes is yours. For pubs that know it will be busy.
100 %
Buy the pub edition outright. The table and the takings are yours; we keep the games coming.
One session is kr 20 for 8 minutes: a busy hour is 7.5 sessions, kr 150. Amounts before Vipps' fee.
The pub games
Every pub game starts in one press, plays two against each other (or one against the table), and fits eight minutes.
The real thing
Photographed, not drawn: the table as it stands, before the clear top goes on for the pub.

The pub edition
Three millimetres of clear acrylic cover the whole top, edge to edge. You see every bit of the walnut, and none of the evening touches it.
A glass set down, an elbow leaned on, a fist on the table after a last-minute winner. Wipe it with a cloth and it's ready for the next two.
Every stick, button and spinner comes up through its own hole, cut to fit. The screen sits under the same clear sheet.
