FLATCURE

Four in a row. Send them the mess.

Remember the capsule puzzle of 1990? Two of you on the sofa, the pills tumbling, and the moment your chain dropped a pile of junk into your sister's bottle. FLATCURE is that, face to face across one table: a glass flask each, a crowd of grinning germs inside, and every double clear sends your mess flying into theirs while their germs laugh at them. And now there are five ways to play it: the original, a two-minute rush, a swap-and-pop board, a dropper you aim and flick, and one where you cure the patient together.

Clear two. Send two.

Capsules landing at both ends at once, a chain popping the germs, two loose halves flying across into the other flask. Then the other four ways: the two-minute RUSH, the POP board, the FLICK dropper and TOGETHER.

Real gameplay, straight off the table's screen.

Two flasks. One cure. Two of you.

Each of you has a glass flask, eight columns by sixteen rows, lying on the table with its neck to the middle and its bottom at your own edge. Inside sit the germs: red SPIKE, yellow WOBBLE and blue GLOOM. Two-colour capsules come in at the neck, the same ones for both of you in the same order, and slide toward you.

Line up four or more of one colour, along or across, capsule halves and germs together, and they pop. Halves left without their partner slide down, and if they line up again they pop again: a chain. Clear two or more lines with one capsule and that many loose halves fly across the table into the other flask.

Five ways to play it.

The original, face to face

Cure

Two players, a flask each, both playing at once. Four of a colour in a line pops; two lines at once send your mess into their flask. First to two rounds wins, and the rematch is one press.

Alone

Cure: one player or solo

Against the computer, whose skill follows yours, or solo, flask after flask until one fills.

Two minutes

Rush

The germs never stop coming: a new row pushes up every few seconds. Every germ you cure wins half a second back, every chain two. A full flask spills, and you lose six seconds.

Swap and pop

Pop

A board of capsule halves with germs among them. Swap two to make three of a colour. Four make a syringe, an L or a T a bomb, five the rainbow antidote, and specials swapped together make bigger blasts. 24 levels, three stars each.

Aim and flick

Flick

A glass dropper at your edge flicks capsule halves up into a clump of germs hanging from the neck. Three of a colour pop, and whatever is left hanging drops. Big drops fly across into theirs.

Co-op

Together

One patient, two flasks, one team clock. Two lines at once now send medicine across, and every dose cures a germ in your partner's flask. Cure both before the clock runs out, then the next stage has more germs. A parent and a child, or you and the computer.
