FLATCLASH

Clear lines. Shove the wall. Squeeze them out.

You know the block puzzle: three pieces in your hand, fill a line, watch it pop. FLATCLASH puts a second player across the table and a blazing wall between your two halves. Every line you clear shoves the wall into their half and shatters their blocks. And the less room you have, the shorter your lines get, so no lead is ever safe.

The wall lurches.

Both halves building at once, a line cleared, the wall shoved a row into the other half and their blocks shattering. Then they clear two back. It never stays still for long.

One board. One wall. Two of you.

The board is eight columns by sixteen rows, laid out between your two pairs of hands. The wall splits it: you own the rows on your side, they own theirs, eight each to start. Each of you holds three pieces, dealt from the same sequence, so the luck is equal. Use all three and three new ones come.

There are no turns. You both play at once. A row full across your half clears, and so does a column, if it's full from your edge to the wall. Every line you clear shoves the wall one row into their half, and whatever they had in that row shatters. Clear several at once, or on drop after drop, and it shoves further.

Three ways to settle it.

Face to face

Versus

Two players, one board, both playing at once. First to two rounds wins the match, and a round that runs long goes to overtime and gets harder every minute. Then the rematch, on one press.

Against the computer

One player

The computer moves its ghost like a person: it thinks, hesitates and sometimes misjudges, and its skill follows yours.

Alone

Solo: Hold the Wall

The wall creeps toward you, a little sooner every time, and your lines push it back. The table keeps the best score with initials, and there's always a better run to chase.
