FLATFORCE flies it again: one plane over the real world, from Lysefjorden and Lofoten to New York, the Nile and the Amazon. Sixteen stages, each with its own boss, its own film and its own music. The guns fire by themselves. You fly, you save the people, and you drop the big bomb.

2089. They came out of the sea.

They came out of the dark between the stars and fell into our oceans. We called them the Kraken. In one night they rose from the sea and took the coasts, the cities and the sky, and every dawn their master, XUL, speaks to what is left of us.

They never found the Underground: hangars cut into mountains and buried under cities all over the world. In the one inside Preikestolen stood a prototype, the FF-9 NORDLYS, and its pilot, Captain Jeanne Irina, callsign VALKYRIE. Operation Nordlys starts in Lysefjorden, where she learned to fly below the rim.

Sixteen stages across the world, unlocked one at a time on the map. A briefing, the launch from the hangar, the stage, its boss, the debrief, and the people you saved counted. Your progress is kept, so the war waits for you.
