A six to get out. A six to throw again.
Every family has played it: the folding board, the little die, somebody's piece knocked home one square from the goal. LUDO keeps the game the way Norwegian families play it. Four pieces each, all in the yard. A six brings one out, and a six throws again, as many times as the die allows.
Pieces run a full lap of the board, then up their own home column into the goal, and the goal takes the exact throw. Land on a single piece of another colour and it goes back to its yard. Put two of yours on one square and you've built a block: nobody can land on it or pass it. There are no safe squares.
